The modern development of the theory of The beach morpholithogenesis (Odessa School)

Abstract

The basic results were received during many-years cartographic and stationary natural instrumental observations; from 1997 to 2011 in the Departament of Physical Geography. First of all, detail analysis was carry out of special coastal and geomorphologic publications. This literature pointed on different directions of investigation, main parts of the PhD-thesis and probable non-decided a problems.

During last years, anthropogenous press elevating, from one side, and low intensity of geomorphology evolution, from other side, stipulated necessity of new coastal researches, and the beach relief in especially. The researches were carry out along curved shore-line and straight shore-line according to ordinary methods. The Article devoted to estimation of coastal environment, structure and mechanisms of beach forming of the different types, with its systematic and analysis, with discovering of morphogenesis and lithogenesis beaches regularities as a most certain indicators of shore zone status for instance of the Black Sea beaches.

In the Article were analyzed basic factors and conditions of beach morphogenesis. In the used conditionlist were paleogeographic history, geology texture, geomorphology and relief features, wind and wave regime, sea-level changes, near-shore currents, sea-ice sheet and its impact to beach morphogenesis.

Next part of the Article exposed results of sand beaches research along curved shore-line of Odessa Bay arch. Different factors and natural peculiarities were analyzed for working up of sand beach stability and conservation of coast resources. Received scientific results and conclusions have major significance: in sea-port construction, exploitation of navigate canals, coastal defence, mining of placers and ordinal sand, constructions of different communications etc.
