ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION AND POPULATION MORBIDITY: MATHEMATIC AND STATISTICAL APPROACHES TO ESTIMATE DEPENDENCE AND REGIONAL DIFFERENCES

The article demonstrates the possibility of using regression analysis to assess the influence of nature components pollution on the morbidity of population. The selective nature of the impact of the pollution condition of certain environment components on the quantitative characteristics and the peculiarities of distribution of certain types of population morbidity is determined on the basis of 17 indicators in the context of the administrative districts of Zhytomyr region. It was revealed that among the ecological characteristics such indicators as the density of pollutants emissions in the air per 1 km2 and the formation of waste of I-IV classes of danger have the most significant impact on the population morbidity in Zhytomyr region. According to the regression dependence formulas, probable changes in the morbidity rate in case of growth or decrease of environmental parameters are defined.
