Abstract

The history of formation and main features of the hotel economy of the city of Lviv during the Austrian and Austro-Hungarian periods (1772–1918) was explored. The main factors of formation of hospitality establishments are outlined, types of accommodation establishments, development of services, quality of service in hotels during the investigated historical period are characterized.
