«LETTERS FROM A FOREIGN COUNTRY» BY Ya. OKUNEVSKY: GEOGRAPHY AND GEOPOLITICS

Abstract

The article deals with the book of essays by Yа. Okunevsky «Letters from a foreign land» as a source of history of geography, country studies and geopolitics in Ukraine. Reflections by the author of «Letters» are evident in the context of the European geopolitical thought of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. His impressions of traveling to Europe, Asia, and Africa are fundamentally related to Ukrainian issues.
