The most acute problems of regional development in Ukraine are defined, the main goals and objectives of National Strategy of Regional Development of Ukraine for the period till 2020 are characterized, the analysis of tools for its implementation is completed, the sources of financing the regional policy objectives are revealed, the key directions of social and geographical researches of problems of territorial governing to ensure balanced development of country’s regions are determined
