Tourist and sports destinations of Ukraine

Abstract

An important outcome of societal and geographical research of sports tourism in Ukraine is tourist and sports regionalization of the country’s territory according to certain taxonomic standards (macro-region tourist and sports destination – region tourist and sports destination – local tourist and sports destination – elementary tourist and sports destination). Based on the defined criteria to meet the sports tourism needs there have been allocated 3 tourist and sports regional destinations on the territory of Ukraine (including 2 mountain recipient destinations – East Carpathian and Crimean), within which allocated 11 tourist and sports local destinations. From two to three tourist and sports elementary destinations have been singled out within the flat land local destinations.
