PROFITABILITY OF AGRICULTURE OF KHARKOV REGION AS INDICATOR OF ITS ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY

Abstract

The article analyzes the essence of the concept of «profitability», which is a component of economic efficiency. Indicators are established that are calculated to determine profitability. A detailed comparative characteristic of the profitability of the main branches of agriculture in Ukraine and Kharkіv region is presented, factors determining the differences in the level of profitability are determined. Spatial features of the profitability of crop production and livestock in the administrative and territorial units of Kharkiv region are determined on the basis of indicators of the volumes of products sold and taking into account the natural and climatic conditions of the territory.
