Analysis of effectiveness of spatial information system of lublin catholic university

Abstract

The Spatial Information System for the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin was created. ESRI program, namely ArcGIS for Desktop and data published on the server ArcGIS Online were used. As an additional tool for creating building plans was used the AutoCAD program. 3D visualization is drawn up in SketchUp program. The final effect of the project is 5 applications: Map of the KUL buildings, PLAN of Main Building, Main Building - WiFi signal, Objects KUL, 3D model of Konstantynów campus. The evaluation of the project was made through surveys, which showed that this type of system is desirable among students and they expect the development of the project. The system is dedicated to all students, employees and visitors of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. It has advantages of promotional support decision-making processes and management of the premises by the University and facilitates the movement of students and guests of the University.
